A very pleasant park with some lovely foliage marred a little by graffit. Lovely picnic friendly shop nearby .

点评：I enjoyed my visit to Belleville Park. It is a terraced park and you can choose to go up the steps for a direct route to the top or you can meander on the terraced paths. I preferred walking on the paths as there are some lovely trees and shrubs which were very cooling on a warm day and are lush and attractive to look at.

I agree with another contributor that the park is spoilt by graffiti. Some people might enjoy the graffiti but it is not my cup of tea
On Rue de Couronnes which I walked along to the park coming from the Metro there is a very nice little bread, pastries, snacks and drinks shop called Le Pain du Parc. The two women who served me were really lovely and taught me the proper names for the different types of bread (which of course I've forgotten already) but I was briefly knowledgeable. I bought an excellent little baguette (which is not called a baguette) an apple tart which was delicious, a coffee and some water. I had some soft cheese with me already and so this all made for a very nice picnic indeed in the park.
There is a nice view of Paris including the Eiffel Tower from the park. At the top of the park it looked as if there was a gallery but I did not have time to look in. I think the park is well stocked with trees and bushes and has nice lawn areas to sit on, where I had my picnic.
They had table football sets for public use, but you would need to bring your own little ball. There may also have been a table tennis table there but I might be getting confused with a different park on that point.
I believe I saw both locals and tourists at the park and gardeners tending to the shrubs. it was very peaceful.
When I was there, there was some filming and a very polite French woman asked me to please wait a few moments before going down a particular path as they were just filming something. I think it was a documentary rather than something more exciting. But I always enjoy seeing film crews at work.
