点评：The Greek Orthodox Monastery of Agia Triada (17th century) is located in the middle of the Akrotiri peninsula east of Chania. It is a beautiful complex and very photogenic. The sober, wide facade has a theatrical entrance with a wide staircase to a striking portal with Ionic and Corinthian pillars and a high bell tower above it. Through the gate you enter a large courtyard dominated by a church with a Byzantine cruciform plan, with an elegant facade with Doric and Corinthian columns and three striking round domes on the roof. Inside the church you can see, among other things, 17th century altars. You can stroll around in and around the church, on the roof of the church and you can also climb the entrance gate of the monastery opposite the church. Around the church you can admire the monastery and the church from all sides along arcades and lots of greenery. What is striking here are the many plants and the beautiful flowers that make the building even more beautiful than it already is. On the southern side of the church you will find the small monastery museum and a very good museum shop with, among other things, wine, olive oil, vinegar, raki, honey and soap from their own organic production.
