点评:Derren Brown was a pretty good show, and the venue staff were all very polite and helpful, just a couple of minor issues -
It's all very tight maneuvering around the narrow hallways and seating, and accessibility if you're disabled is a bit of a nightmare; very narrow lifts, which are limited in number and the only alternative to the multiple flights of stairs going up and down the venue.
At the end of the show we left via the nearest door, which opened up onto a fire exit which was open and a few people left through it on to street level, but after a member of staff asked why it was open, it was closed and we were told "this isn't actually an exit".
It is, that's why it's called a fire exit: they are designed primarily for evacuation in the event of fire, but can also be used as regular exits provided they don't get too crowded or obstructed.
I know a fair bit about fire safety as part of my job, and can think of no reason why these doors couldn't have been used as a regular exit.
Instead, we and a few other disabled patrons had to stand around waiting while people who had been in the hallway before us were ferried up in an accessibility lift by a member of staff, a few at a time, who then came back down to take us up in the lift a few at a time.
All very long-winded and unnecessary, especially as my wife suffers from pain if she is standing around for too long.
