点评：Our visit to the Zaanse Schans windmills was one of the highlights of our time in the Netherlands! The excitement began with the scenic and efficient train ride from Amsterdam Central—so easy and enjoyable. After a short, pleasant walk from the station, we found ourselves stepping back in time among the iconic windmills.
The area has a charming, open-air museum feel, with traditional Dutch houses, working windmills, and artisan shops. The windmills themselves are fascinating—each with its own history and purpose. It’s definitely a must-see if you’re visiting the Netherlands.
Do note: most shops only open after 10:00 AM, so plan your timing accordingly. Also, the paths can get quite narrow and crowded, especially later in the morning, so comfortable shoes and a bit of patience are helpful.
A special tip: don’t miss the little Chocolate Shop along the way! Their handmade truffles are absolutely delicious and worth a stop.
Overall, Zaanse Schans is a memorable experience full of culture, history, and plenty of photo opportunities. Highly recommend!
