点评：There are 2 different faces of Cagbalete
1. The Exotic Paradise
To get to Cagbalete, one must reach first the quiet town of Mauban, Quezon of which this island is part of. A 30 minute boat ride will either land you at the port or the beach shores.
The beach sand is almost the same quality with Boracay however, on low tide it stretches very far and there areas with sea grass & sea urchins.
The island has only 2,000++ inhabitants hence it’s quiet
Surprisingly there is strong mobile & data/5g (Globe)
The sunsets are amazing
The locals are very friendly
2. Underdeveloped Island
There are resorts in the island and was able to check the biggest one. I think I was quoted around 3k to 4k per night and the room looked old and dusty. This resort has electricity 24/7.
If you’re going to stay elsewhere, prepare to pay more for generator use.
The island has no proper drainage system, roads/alleys are crooked - some cemented, trash is everywhere, food choices are limited (with 1 carinderia that I ate near the port & BBQ store), there’s no healthcare facility and stray dogs & their poo littered on the beach
