Lovely little steam train ride with a breathtaking view at the end

点评：Lovely liitle ride on the steam railway and although the journey only lasts 5 ot 10 minutes, the view at the end station is incredible!!!
We went on a Wednesday evening in August when they run for two hours between 7 and 9, catching the Manx Electric Railway from Douglas which runs to Groudle Glen station especially for the evening with a regular shuttle service.
There was a bit of a wait for the train out of Groudle Glen, but the station itself is very well presented with a little gift shop and old style waiting room. At the end station, Sea Lion Rocks, there is a cafe and toilets, but the highlight was walking down past the gate to look over the rocks to the sea below. Absolutely stunning!!!
We had the Go Explorer card which gave us unlimited journeys on all the bus and train services on the island which included the Groudle Glen Railway and the linking Electric Railway, so it's definitely worth getting if you're visiting the island.
It is only running on Wednesday evenings and Sundays, but if you get the chance to ride it, do so.
