点评:This is quite a quaint open-air museum and garden to explore. On entry the staff give you a small map which helps guide you round. If entering from the bottom of the hill you can use a escalator which will take you to the top of the park from which you can then start snaking round down through the gardens.
The majority of the historical buildings were able to be visited although some were completely or partially closed off for restorations. Each was unique with information text provided in English and Japanese. The ones at the top including Glover house itself offer excellent views over the bay of Nagasaki towards the industrial shipyards. The gardens also looked like they would be incredibly pretty during the spring and summer months but in winter they clearly were not at their best although it was evident work is put in all year round to maintain them. Such is visiting at the tail end of January in Winter.
There was a small café open halfway down the gardens together with a open refreshment area with seating and vending machines too. I spent about 90 minutes having a look round the complex and would find this experience much better during the warmer months. The shop at the end is well stocked and sells some unique Glover items that I didn't spot anywhere else.
