点评:Last Thursday on a snowy cold January morning, my 2 year old grandson and I decided to visit the Firefighters’ Museum of NS and what a treat it was. We were welcomed, as soon as we walked through the door, with smiles and information to help guide our visit. We went right to the fire truck you can climb on where Brady learned that firemen could ring alarms with their foot so their eyes could stay on the road. He quickly repeated this information to me and those in his family that would watch my video of him driving the big red fire truck. He also learned and repeated that the fire truck beside him was powered by steam the same kind of steam that comes out of the pots that his Mommy uses when making his fav Mac and cheese. Again repeated with a loud yummmm lol. The curator, Gary was amazing with just the right information and excitement for a 2 year old. He learned how to wear a fire helmet properly, bill in back and badge out front when he received his own helmet. We also heard an old fire siren and saw so many more fire related items and trucks, trucks and trucks. Although, you are only allowed on one display truck, Brady and I loved seeing and hearing about all the items from helmets, and fire hydrants to pictures of the Circus fire. We want to thank Gary and Josh for our wonderful visit and encourage anyone young or old or somewhere in between to pop in and see the amazing displays and to learn about the history of fire fighting in NS.
