点评:Leiden is only a 30 minute train ride from Amsterdam and is well worth a visit, especially for this museum. On the 7th floor is an incredible display of a herd of triceratops. They were excavated in Wyoming by a team from the museum. Interactive displays put flesh on the bones, show how they moved, and tells the story of how they probably met their end. They will be on display until August, when they are off on a world tour, so keep your eyes open, a herd of triceratops may be coming to a museum near you!
Although we didn't have time to look at everything, the rest of the museum is equally fascinating, telling the evolution of hominids, the ice age and much more. There are two cafes (the one on the upper floor was closed when we visited) but had a sandwich lunch in the one downstairs.
