犹太人博物馆 (Bet Hatefutsoth)的点评
点评：All the positive reviews are correct. This is an amazing museum. We spent four hours there, and would have continued, but we got tired. The one-hour guided tour at noon was very interesting. We did not try the electronic audio explanations (maybe next time), as there was lots of information next to the exhibits and in the short films.
My first complaint is that there is nowhere to rest. No chairs, no benches. The few films which had seats in front of them had space for no more than six people. The main, huge, recommended film had absolutely no place to sit. One of the staff told us that there were seats in front of each movie, but that turned out to be totally incorrect. Staff members showed us the walking seats available, but these did not serve the needs of healthy people who simply want to sit down occasionally and gather their strength for the rest of the museum.
Another one of the staff told us that we had missed the humor exhibit, as that was temporary, yet a few minutes later we found a whole section devoted to Jewish humor.
My second complaint is that the wonderful gift shopped is closed on Saturdays. We live almost three hours away, and this may have been our only visit. I would really have liked to see what was on sale.
My final complaint is that the directions to the exhibitions, rest rooms, and staircases basically don't exist. There is a map of the museum, but that does not really explain how to get from display to display.
