点评：No visit to Guayaquil is complete without exploring Malecon 2000, the city’s iconic waterfront promenade. Stretching along the Guayas River, this beautifully designed boardwalk features lush gardens, fountains, sculptures, and shaded seating areas, offering a relaxing and vibrant atmosphere. As we strolled, we enjoyed stunning river views, watched boats gliding across the water, and soaked in the lively ambiance of locals and tourists alike.
The Malecon seamlessly blends modern attractions with historical landmarks. We admired the Torre Morisca, a charming clock tower, and the Rotonda Monument, which honors the meeting of South American liberators Simón Bolívar and José de San Martín. A visit to the nearby MAAC (Museum of Anthropology and Contemporary Art) deepened our appreciation for Ecuadorian culture and contemporary art.
Entertainment and dining options abound along the Malecon. We enjoyed a ride on La Perla Ferris wheel for panoramic city views and sampled a variety of eateries. Though our experiences varied—Resaca was disappointing, the Chinese restaurant next door was decent, and Sweet & Coffee offered a satisfying snack—the overall vibe of the Malecon made up for any culinary missteps. Malecon 2000 is a must-visit for its mix of beauty, history, and vibrant energy!
