great and quite unique museum, full of artifacts - worth taking the time to visit!

点评：I was staying in Bruges but went out of my way to visit this museum and was not disappointed. Really interesting and quite unique private museum, the displays are detailed and it is full of interesting objects. This part of ww2 and the role of the Canadians in this region was something I had no idea about so was really interesting to learn.
Audio Commentary for each room is very informative and available in european languages including English, French, Dutch and German. The museum is quite compact, 60-90 minutes is probably enough to get around it but you could easily stay longer if you want to.
The staff were also all very friendly and accommodating.
If you visit on a weekend it is difficult to get public transport directly to it, so recommend planning ahead - it can be done easily in a car, or as i did with a very short easy bike ride from Heist town.
