点评:Excellent and historical site.
We got the Kommuter train from KL Sentral Station and it cost £1.20 each for a 30 minute train ride in air conditioning.
The destination stop is literally called "Batu Caves" and it is well signposted.
Once there, there are sellers for drinks and food and free toilets at the train station.
You must cover your knees and shoulders when there or they will not let you climb the steps
There are several Hindu temples along the short walk. Once there it is 272 steps to the top which is tough in the 33 degree heat so I advise bringing water.
At the very top inside the caves (also free to enter) it isn't the best thing I've ever done but still an enjoyable experience. From the point we arrived we spent about 1 hour there. You don't need a private tour to take you unless you want to know about the history as its so easy to do yourself.
