A hidden gem full of fascinating local sea life!

点评：My 7-year-old was desperate to visit the Fowey Aquarium — and I’m so glad we went. At first glance it seems quite small and a bit dark, but as we wandered around, we were genuinely surprised by how much there was to see.
There’s a fantastic variety of local marine life, including some really large fish, lobsters, crabs, and even a rockpool area where you can gently touch starfish (I braved it, my son didn’t!). One of the highlights was spotting the brilliantly camouflaged flatfish buried in the sand — a fun little challenge for both kids and adults.
It’s not a flashy or high-tech aquarium, but it’s packed with character and clearly cared for. A short but memorable visit that gave us a lovely peek into Cornish sea life. Great for families and curious little explorers!
