点评:Excellent diving here with Pacific Dive over a week, mid-December - the quiet season when there’s hardly any other divers or tourists generally around (except when a cruise ship is in town).
The history behind Million Dollar Point has fascinated me for years and finally diving it was everything I expected - literally a mountain of WWII trucks, forklifts, cranes, bulldozers, cooking and eating equipment and other military hardware for as far as the eyes can see. You’re left torn between wondering at the waste of it all purely to spite the Brits and French who refused to pay the knock-down price offered for it all; and thinking at least it’s “preserved” for us to dive on and not left to rust in the jungle overgrown and out of reach today.
Has to be seen to be believed.
Not sure 2 dives on the Point were enough but I did 9 on the Coolidge which was just about enough to see the main highlights.
Big shout out to Rex, Max, Dave and the team at Pacific Dive.
