点评:Mission San Antonio de Padua was established in 1771. I would say it is my favorite of the missions, especially given its isolation and picturesque nature. Remnants of old water mill and cemetery are cool.
The mission itself is restored and features museum and quaint courtyard with a fountain.
Couple of practical pointers: this mission is isolated. You have to get off the 101 and then drive roughly 20+ minutes inland to reach it. So, if you are on the time constraint or do not like to go off the beaten pass, stick to one of the missions along the 101. (For instance, Mission San Miguel in Paso Robles is also a cool mission).
Also, you do have to drive through a military base. I was not feeling comfortable doing it, to be frank. Even though there were no check points on the roadway, this bit of experience did make me slightly tense.
Other than that, Mission San Antonio is nice hidden gem that would make great addision on the California road trip.
