Never seen anything quite like Commercial Street!

点评：Wow, what a place! Provincetown was strongly and repeatedly recommended as a MUST DO while on Cape Cod, so we made the long drive to the very tip of the peninsula. Commercial Street in Provincetown was everything we were told it would be. And then some! Fortunately, we went in May - before the apparent "busy season" but it was still quite busy. Driving and parking on Commercial Street - NOT recommended. The road is only about one lane wide, and parking is nearly impossible. We finally did find a place to park our huge SUV (tip: take a SMALL car to Provincetown). And we explored as much as we could with the limited time we had (about 3 hours).
Commercial Street is WILD! My goodness. If you have ever been to Duval Street in Key West, this is similar. Only maybe crazier. We saw things we have never seen before. LOL. I do not even know how to explain or describe it. I would just say, leave your biases, prejudices, and inhibitions at home. Go to Commercial Street with your mind and eyes wide open, and ENJOY yourself! We had a great time. So many shops.....so many eateries. So many shows. (Mostly drag queen shows, but shows, nevertheless.) LOL.
Commercial Street is about miles long. Maybe a bit longer. It would take a LONG time to explore the entire street, which likely would require an overnight stay. We only had a few hours, so drove a bit of it just to be able to see as much as possible. You really do need at least a full day or two, but even a few hours is fun and worth the drive.
