点评:We absolutely loved our visit here. Yes, the admission price is not cheap, but you know that going in. The fields of ranunculus flowers were absolutely beautiful, ranging from pretty much every color in the rainbow. We went on March 18. My understanding is that of the 10 or so fields that are there, they start planting them earlier in the year with staggered times, so that the first two fields come on bloom in early March, but As the spring progresses, the earlier fields die out, and the blooms from the new fields start to come on. So when we were there, which was on the early side of the season, we had to walk all the way down to fields one and two to see the flowers. But if you go around Mother’s Day in May, You will head to Fields nine and 10, which are essentially straight in front of you after you go through the entrance.
We decided not to take the wagon ride based on other TripAdvisor reviews, and that was the right decision. It allowed us to explore the flowers at our own pace. We also skipped over the high priced food and lemonade, thanks to seeing other reviews. In other words, we focused on enjoying all of the beautiful flowers, mainly in the fields but also in certain of their displays as you lead up to the fields, and we really enjoyed ourselves. We probably spent 75 minutes here, and it was one of our highlights of our trip to San Diego.
