Not very relaxing spa day

点评：Treated to a spa day by my partner on my birthday after wanting to visit here for a while. On arrival we were welcomed and given robes & slippers and have to walk outside (100m) to lodge where the treatments took place, thankfully it was dry. We then came back into the spa to enjoy 2 hours use of the facilities. On entering we were surprised to be joined by families with children of all ages in both the pool and outdoor infinity pool. The children were throwing ice in the pool, playing catch with balls from one end of the pool to the other and bombing in from the side. I understand it’s a holiday resort, but we had paid for a relaxing spa day and this was very unexpected. There was also children of around 6-8 years old in the gym unaccompanied using the weights which could’ve ended up badly! The facilities were really nice but totally spoilt by the experience. On entering the restaurant I saw a poster stating the times of the spa which are adult only- however, general public using the website to book are totally unaware of this until arrival.
I do want to say how amazing the restaurant was though and the food was out of this world. The restaurant manager couldn’t do enough and delivered a birthday chocolate brownie which was really appreciated.
On the whole it was the most unrelaxing spa I’ve ever had, more like lying on a lounger in a leisure centre.
