Incredible half-day at a truly ethical Elephant Sanctuary

点评：My boyfriend and I had the most amazing experience at the Following Giants’ half day program in Krabi. The program included hotel pickup and drop-off in a comfortable, air conditioned van. Upon arrival, we were provided rubber boots and water for the tour. There were water filling stations located at several points throughout the tour too.
Our guide, Siron, was so knowledgeable about each of the elephants and I could tell he cared deeply about every single one of them. Siron guided us through the Following Giants’ spacious and beautiful land, stopping to observe each elephant at a distance which was safe to us and the elephants. We got to see elephants walking, eating, bathing, and interacting with each other. We got to stop for photos along the way as well.
Then, we arrived to the observation deck where we were greeted with refreshing watermelon smoothies. We then got to make seed balls and launch some using a slingshot, which was so fun. Next, we got to enjoy a delicious and filling meal of curry, vegetables in sweet & sour sauce, chicken tempura, rice, and fruit. I was so full for our walk back through the sanctuary, where we got to observe the elephants one last time.
I genuinely loved my experience at Following Giants. I could tell that every single staff member really loved and cared for the elephants’ physical and mental well-beings. If you are looking for a truly ethical elephant sanctuary in Krabi, I cannot recommend Following Giants enough. I look forward to returning someday.
