点评：Ha giang loop tour
We booked our ha giang loop tour through The Loop Tours company at our hostel: The One Hostel. We were picked up at our hostel. First in a shuttle bus , then the shuttle bus took us to a sleeper bus, which was just a bus with slanted seats in reality. During the 7 and a half hours the driver stopped approximately 13 times. First he allowed a family of 4 to stay in the bus which was completely fine and was of no issue to us or the other passengers. He later stopped to let them off. Then he picked up a woman. At around 9:30 pm he picked up a group of 9 men in ha giang who then filled out both all the empty seats, and once they were filled, the walkway from the front to the back of the bus, which is an obvious fire hazard. An older man sat next to me and my friend, and immediately touched first my shoulder, then my thigh repeatedly, and when I told him to stop he laughed and pointed to us in front of the other men who had just entered the bus. We felt so unsafe in this situation and didn’t feel like we were being taken seriously by the bus driver in any way. In the last hour of the drive, he stopped the bus around 6 times in order to let out the many people he had let onto the bus. This both complicated and prolonged the bus journey. Only after we had gotten to the Ha Giang province at 22, were we informed that we would be the only ones to go to our hostel. Instead of coordinating the bus trip so that you travel and arrive with your group, we were left all alone and had to tell our driver where we needed to be dropped off. When he dropped us off we were left in front of a dark alleyway and were told to call the company off the hostel. They didn’t answer or return any of our calls for 15 minutes, in which we were just standing alone in the desolate dark street. When we were finally answered we were led to the hostel which was entirely empty, despite us being told beforehand that we would be doing the ha giang loop with around 10-15 people. We felt unsafe being the only ones at the hostel when we arrived, especially since there were no locks on the floor and since we were told that the rest of the group would not be arriving until 1 am. All in all we felt really unsafe and not accommodated in the way we had been told we would be. As young female travellers this was such an unpleasant experience and made us feel so unsafe, and knowing that vietnam is a country that many people travel to solo we would not recommend travelling with your agency.
