点评:We are locals and this was our 2nd visit to Ayrburn. We returned about a year after our disappointing first visit to give it another go, as it’s easy to see the potential of this place. There is no question the location and landscaping are stunning. But just as on our first visit, we had a hugely disappointing experience at The Manure Room. We had a lovely waitress take our cocktail orders: white chocolate espresso martinis which sounded delicious. So far so good. It wasn’t busy but we waited about 1/2 hr for them to arrive. My son could see the bar from his seat and said he watched them being made. Apparently another staff member tried one of the cocktails and clearly didn’t approve, as the first attempt was thrown out. Then he could see the 2nd attempt sitting on the bar for a good 5-10 mins before they were brought out to us. They were really sloppy, very sweet and had no crema….. possibly the worst espresso martinis I’ve ever had. It’s not that hard to get them right. If you are going to charge the highest cocktail prices in the region, make sure your staff are trained properly, and qualified to justify the prices. We all agreed we make far better cocktails at home. That’s a 2 out of 5 for each visit. Not cool.
