点评:We were on our way back from vacationing in FL that took us a long I-24 nearby. Although it was super cold on this January 19th and we had visited here once B4, we stopped again because 1 in our party had not been with us then. We wish we had remembered there is some free parking near the entrance B4 we scanned and paid about $8.50 for street parking. The park itself is well kept but by the time we arrived no one was manning the entrance gate. This strategic Civil War battlefield site overlooking Chattanooga and the winding river below commemorates a main battle for the "high ground" that took place on November 23, 1863 just days before the first Thanksgiving celebration in the US that President Lincoln established just a month B4. Hard to imagine what these valiant soldiers had to be thankful for on this lofty perch in those days.
We feel this is worth a stop when traveling nearby. Ruby Falls is on the way up the mountain but we passed it by each time. There are many nice residences up on this rocky mountain too.

我们觉得在附近旅行时,这里值得一停。红宝石瀑布在上山的路上,但我们每次都经过它。这座岩石山上也有很多漂亮的住宅。
