Two great experiences with Strata
Strata Tours的点评
点评：We went on the Samaria Gorge walk organized by Strata Tours and had an excellent experience. We were picked up at our rental villa just outside Kissamos, then picked up one other couple. The drive to the Gorge was very informative, with a delightful commentary along the way by our guide/driver. We arrived early at the start of the Gorge so we beat most of the crowds. At the other end, after an incredible walk, we had time for a nice meal and a swim in the ocean, before taking the ferry to Paleochora where we were picked up for the drive back to Kissamos. All incredibly well organized and efficient, allowing us to have an amazing day.
We then took the Strata Tour to Balos Beach. This was also very efficient with an early morning pick up in an AWD minibus, with 15 passengers this time. The driver was very experienced and had no problem navigating the rough road to Balos. We walked down to the beach (about 30 minutes) and had it almost to ourselves for the morning, as it seems most visitors arrive a bit later. Visiting in early May might have helped as well. We had an amazing time just walking through the shallow, beautiful water and sitting on the beach relaxing, before walking back up to the bus. Leaving the driving to someone else was a great decision, as we had been told that the car rental insurance would not have covered damage on this particular rough road.
I would highly recommend Strata Tours.
