Excellent riding but avoid guest house

点评：My friends and I recently stayed at Tunis Stables in Fayoum, and while the riding experience was fantastic, the accommodations were a major letdown.
The stable yard is beautiful—there’s a cozy bar, multiple seating areas, and even a swimming pool. The riding tours are incredible, taking you through breathtaking desert landscapes and lakes in Wadi El Rayan National Park. Most of the horses (not all) are well fed.
However, the guest rooms were extremely disappointing. They’re dark and unwelcoming, with tinted windows and thick curtains that make them feel more like a dungeon. The cleaning was poor, and there was a bathroom leak that left the floor constantly wet. Shockingly, there wasn’t even a trash bin neither in the room, nor in the bathroom, and instead of proper comforters, they provided blankets without covers, meaning they’re not washed after each guest. The furniture was really, and even basic amenities like towels weren’t provided unless you asked. In general, it felt more like staying in someone’s old garage than in a proper guesthouse.
Dinner was okay, but breakfast was very poor. To top it off, the staff could have been much more friendly. We did not feel welcomed there.
In short, I’d recommend going for a ride and maybe enjoying lunch or drinks afterward, but staying overnight? Not worth it.
