Unforgettable Journey Through Sicily

点评：We recently returned from an incredible 11-day adventure through Sicily, and it’s safe to say that the experience exceeded all expectations—thanks in large part to our company owner, tour organizer and primary driver, Gaetano.
Our itinerary took us through a diverse and stunning range of locations: Palermo, Trapani, Cefalù, Agrigento, Mount Etna, Taormina, Siracusa/Ortigia, and Catania. Each stop offered a rich blend of history, culture, breathtaking landscapes, and delicious food. The trip combined sightseeing, light hiking, and a deep dive into the region’s fascinating archaeology and history.
Traveling in early April had its perks—minimal crowds and a lush, green landscape that felt almost cinematic. While it was a bit too cool for swimming and hanging out at the beach, the beauty of Sicily more than made up for it.
Gaetano was the heart of our journey. From start to finish, he was professional, well-organized, and incredibly accommodating. His driving skills alone were worth their weight in gold—we would still be waiting to make a left turn in Palermo if we'd been driving ourselves.
Beyond logistics, Gaetano brought warmth, intelligence, and humor to the experience. He was always engaged, quick with a joke or playful banter -if you're into bantering be sure to bring your A-game- and deeply knowledgeable about the island and its culture. He was also excellent at adapting to changes in plans and offering top-notch suggestions for places to eat and stay.
The local guides he arranged were fantastic—each one bringing a unique perspective, whether younger and energetic or deeply experienced. They were all extremely knowledgeable and enhanced our understanding of each site we visited.
We couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to Sicily. If you’re considering a trip to Sicily, do yourself a favor and travel with Sicily Choice and Gaetano—you’ll be in excellent hands.
