点评:Finally reached Mall Road parking lot in close proximity to the " Gun Point " cable car ticket booking office and boarding/alighting terminal.Decided to ride up the cable car to " Gun Point" .Ticket cost was Rs 270 and it was a pleasant ride to the second highest peak in Mussoorie called " Gun Hill" or " Gun Point" situated at a altitude of 2020 mtrs( 6640 ft).During the British Raj cannon shots were fired from this hill to indicate the time of the day and in the present era used as a water storage site for Mussorie Town.We were one of the first tourist arrivals by cable car as avid trekkers also trek to this peak.Although there was bright sunshine the air had some hazy mist and hence view of the Himalayan mountain chain was blurred unlike the absolute clear view from " Himalaya Darshan " in Nainital. The weather was warm and removed my trademark sweater ,a piece of my attire that was lying in my closet at home in Mumbai for a long time.Strolled around the small amusement square on Gun Hill having games and eatable stalls
On paying Rs 50 observed the various sites with the telescope at " TelescopicViewpoint"..After spending a hour returned back to Mall Road by the cable car.
