55 minutes from Ingham each way, the last one third on mountain road, but not difficult.
Stunning very tall waterfall, the pictures and brochures don’t do it justice.
The lookout over to the top of the falls is right there at the carpark.
The walk to the base of the falls is 1.6km each way – all downhill on the way and all uphill back. Gradient is about 1 in 10, probably half the journey is rock steps (some steps, then slope, then steps, then slope, etc). Much of the journey is switchbacks. Rocks are a bit slippery when wet, take care. If you are used to hikes of a few hours you will manage the slope just fine. If you really are unfit don’t attempt it especially in hot weather.
No complexity in the walk, just constant slope.
