- Asked to figure out problems myself! (eg. looking for sizes/ prices and finding items)
- Some staff ignored customers to stay on their PERSONAL phones and chit chat with eachother!
- Sent back and forth from 1 cashier to another having to stay in line 3 times!!!!
- Manager was very rude and sarcastic!
- Had to wait for help for over 15min in a number of areas!
Story:
Some items did not have prices and some items where not organised on shelves/hangers (the shop had just opened, so it wasn’t other people, and this had been the case in my recent shopping trips).
Most of the staff was chatting in groups, using personal phones (ignoring customers asking for help), unwilling to help and I was even asked to figure things by myself!
Severely mistreated and ignored for over 2hrs. I was asked to do a self-check out, I agreed but I told the sales person that I needed help as I find it a bit hard. I started but after the first difficulty, I turned round to find no one who could help me.
Then, I was sent back and forth from cashier to cashier (only 2 open) who made me wait in line and closed when it was my turn for 3 times!!
Customer service desk salesperson barely spoke basic English and “Sorry, I no understand” was her default answer to most customers’ needs.
I stormed out leaving everything behind and called the manager on duty who was arrogant and sarcastic. She did not take action, sided with employees (that I should figure out things myself) and was fine with staff ignoring customers and using personal phones frequently.
She was sarcastically asking what I wanted her to do and if by filing a complaint I was expecting a free gift card!
Also, she boldly told me not to be disrespectful if people don’t speak BASIC English and did not even acknowledge that what happened was wrong!
