点评:We unfortunately missed the early steam train by about 5 minutes, so we had to wait for the next train, which was a deisal heritage one. The lovely station Master who was very friendly and helpful, told us how he used to travel on this particular train years ago, and it was nicknamed the donkey, because of the sound the whistle made.
Very disabled friendly, with ramps to help you get on and off, and you can be dropped off right by the entrance, and the driver can park the car near by.
We had a drink in the station cafe, and sat in the beautiful March sunshine.
We up graded to 1st class which was very comfortable and well worth the £3 each, each way.
The scenery even at this time of year was stunning, so much so we will return in June when we are next in the area, but we will make sure we catch the steam train then.
When we got back to Tenderton Station we had lunch in the cafe, the sandwiches are super tasty and fresh, we looked around the museum.
A really enjoyable day out, with the opportunity to walk to the castle which is a National Trust property, as we are members we can visit anytime and park on site.
Cheaper if you book online, all the volunteers we encountered, were friendly and very enthusiastic
