点评：Brilliant experience. The weather was glorious and this showed the grounds and the features at their very best. The house is structurally magnificent from outside and has a great deal to offer inside. Unlike some properties every room offered fine furnishing and pictures - and some spectacular beds. It felt fully furnished and offered lots of detail. The ceilings were well worth a long look! The views of the parkland gave reason to enjoy looking out of the windows. While the property is well worth visiting it was the warmth and helpful nature of the volunteers / staff that added the extra positive edge to the visit. I have mobility issues and the buggy from the visitor centre was a blessing. While access to the house requires climbing a number of steps a wheelchair was made available inside the house. Providing you are able to climb the internal stairs ,and I could, the staff were willing to carry the wheelchair upstairs, so full access to the house was possible. Brilliant - and upstairs is certainly worth seeing.
The property is understandably popular and made more so by the easy access to the park for children and dogs to play and explore. I can well recognise the reports from other visitors that car parking could be an issue particularly if the weather prevented the use of the overflow car parking on the grasslands nearby.
