点评：Absolutely beautiful, inside and outside. We were blown away with the beauty of this place. On arrival we booked to go into the house about 2 hours after we arrived. The staff on arrival were very helpful. Our visit started in the gardens, truly stunning. The grounds are vast and every inch of it is beautifully kept. The scent of Wisteria with the sun shinning was a perfect combination. The Lilly pond is stunning. I manged to talk to the lady gardener who works on it 3 days a week. She gave us some insight knowledge on the up keep. It's probalby the best kept garden I have seen at a National Trust house I have visited to date. The tree lined entrance to the house is gorgeous against the black and white structure of the house. You are allocated a time to enter, greeted wamly and then you can either have a tour guide or go at your own leisure which we chose to do. We were not disappointed. The house is beautiful, a very family house feel. The internal wood which use to be dark as in the victorain era, has been lightened, and looks very nice. Unlike most historical houses I have visited, a lot of light come in. Very interesting historically. Our visit was about 3.5 hours We will definitely be returning.
