点评:Lake Burley Griffin is a large, man-made lake and the centrepiece of Canberra.
A looped walking track circles the lake, following the shoreline. We didn’t have a lot of time so we only walked a short stretch from the National Library, past the High Court of Australia to the National Gallery Sculpture Garden. This was only a 15- 20 minute walk but it was very scenic (the popular ‘Bridge to Bridge loop is about 5km and takes about an hour).
Along the way, we stopped for a coffee at The Jetty, where we sat at an outside table right at the water’s edge and enjoyed watching the early morning rowers as they passed by.
NOTE: If you have time to do the longer walk, you can find a good guide on the National Capital Authority (NCA) website, under ‘Lake Burley Griffin Self-Guided Walking Tour’.
