点评：A visit to this 18th-century Baroque church is typically accompanied by the climb up the attached 75 metres bell tower, Torre dos Clerigos. The church itself is not particularly spectacular when compared to the much older cathedrals in other European cities, but for the panoramic view from the tallest vantage point in Porto's Historic Centre, it's probably worth visiting both the church and tower which should take about an hour including waiting along the short queue. The elliptical main chapel's main showpiece is the polychromed marble altarpiece. There is also a museum included in the entrance fee which houses a collection of religious artifacts and paintings. The church is located close to the Sao Bento Railway Station as well as other attractions in the vicinity such as the famous Livraria Lello bookshop, so can easily be fitted into your Porto itinerary.
