Great infrastructure, average view
Tallulah Gorge State Park的点评
点评:The visitor's center is excellent. They have an information desk, several displays of local history, wildlife, and geology. There is a short movie that gives you an overview of the gorge and its history, the restrooms were clean, the water fill stations were cold. We did the hike to the suspension bridge, across then down the steps to the gate that you can't pass without a gorge floor hike permit. The floor hike was closed due to trail conditions, if that's your desired hike then check in advance. So, the good stuff: stairs are well maintained, lots of places to stop and rest, good shade. The not so good: it just didn't feel worth the effort. The view at the top of the hike is nicer than the view at the bottom, since you can't see the full stretch of the falls due to the angles (the platform at the bottom doesn't extend out enough). Perhaps the other paths are better I can't say, but we were underwhelmed, from the effort versus reward standpoint. Some reviews say parking is free but note there is a $5 fee. There are some electric charging stations if that is of use to you.
