点评：I talked to a neighbor who recently moved here from Puerto Vallarta after living there for 15 years. I asked if he knew of anyone who would be interested in meeting me at the cruise port and driving me and my group to Playa La Lancha aka "(La Luncha" to the crocodiles). I was given Bruno's name and contact information. I was looking for someone to surf with and provide a board, but what I got was much more. Bruno is a surf instructor for Vallarta Surf Tours, which I only realized when I asked for a platform to review my day.I enjoyed surf talk during the 45 minute ride to the surf shop. While we picked out our boards (his is in the photo, not mine), the others went to Oxxo to get beer, water,and snacks. Bruno, on his own, thought to bring an umbrella for my wife and friends.
I had explained through texting ahead of time that my surfing glory days have past. He set me up with a soft top as the waves were very small. I knew this ahead of time ,but I just needed to get in the water. His local knowledge was spot-on as we followed the shifting peaks.Bruno can guide any level of surfers. He immediately pointed out a flaw when I paddle, one which my surfing- muse daughter has told me before. This showed that he knows his stuff.
We returned our boards after plenty of time in, on and above the water. We all ate at the restaurant next to the surf shop where my wife had the best pork belly taco she has ever had. As you can see, this was a perfect day out, with much appreciation to Bruno.
