Great family day out.

点评：Lived here 15 years and never knew this place existed. Visited it today with our family of 5. Free parking, free access to the grounds, free merry-go-round ride for kids, walled garden, lake, absolutely beautiful place to have a picnic and all free. If they charged a fiver to park it would still be a bargain.
We paid £5 per person for entry to the house, animal petting and an Easter Egg hunt.
Weather was lovely and the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The grounds were great for exploring, trees to climb, running around. Really nice. The outside coffee bar wasnt cheap at £3.25 for an expresso compared to the normal £2 you`d expect to pay and they didnt offer any savoury food like sausage rolls/pasties else id have bought some. There was a cafe, which i presume offered more, but adding some savoury food to the coffee bar would be a good idea. :)
Once you have looked around the house it isnt something you would want to do again. There were quite a few empty rooms where they could add extra stuff to make it more interesting, but im guessing thats on their list to do at some point.
All in all, great day out, extremely good value. We will definitely come back to have a picnic.
