点评:ATTENDED COMETS GAME WITH A LARGE GROUP OF TEENAGERS BUT VENUE DID NOT ACCEPT CASH😏
We were part of a large group supporting talented school singers who were invited to perform the National Anthem. Students brought cash as their parents provided for concessions and gifts. This venue denied them service as they only accept credit cards. Students took turns at the drinking fountain instead of standing in line at the concessions. After all parents don’t hand children credit cards, they hand them spending cash. I also witnessed the elderly in our group not able to purchase concessions as they had taken cash for the event.
Another disappointment is that the venue/Comets charged each student even though they entertained their guest. I have never known anyone who has performed at a professional sporting event that didn’t receive at least two comp tickets. Is it too much to offer a single ticket for their contribution? After all, most of these students had an average of three guest supporting them. The venue made a good amount of money with their guest. It was a fun game, and a nice venue. Parking was not an issue either. I just don’t think I will return outside of this special event due to the non inclusive changes. I believe this could have been a lot more enjoyable for everyone. It’s more of a fun time when you can watch a good game and eat some good concession food and drinks and maybe even go home with a souvenir. Those experiences are only for the card holders now. I personally do not use credit cards for concessions. There has been so many security concerns related to credit/debit cards and I believe it’s another way of tracking your spending activity. If my cash is not valuable to these venues I am happy to spend it somewhere else.
I would recommend eating before you attend an event here and plan on grabbing some snacks and beverages on your way home.
It wasn’t a terrible experience…I saved a lot of money not buying all of the concession food for my family… just the experience was different. We enjoyed our pizza & soda after the game🤩.
