Samaria Gorge National Park的点评
点评：This hike was well worth the views and the experience on Crete. The environment and scenery change dramatically as you progress from the wooded mountain region in the morning g to the lower and more dry arid environment as the gorge spills out into the sea upon arrival in the early afternoon and in high heat and full sun.
A lot of varying views on level of difficulty, which is completely subjective and dependent on one’s level of fitness. Plan to start early and plan for four-five hours as a minimum. Wear light hiking footwear, not Crocs and certainly not mountaineering boots; the walking paths are not that challenging.
Yes you are somewhat held captive to the schedule of the departing ferry and bus schedule upon completion of the hike. However, there are lots beaches and beach taverns to choose from as you wait. Embrace the whole experience.
