Samaria Gorge National Park的点评
点评：It is a very pretty hike, and definitely worth the effort.
The descent on the 1st part could be strenuous on the knees, but otherwise (except for the length of the walk) it is not an overly-challenging hike. We took the 7:45 bus, were at the trailhead at about 9 AM, started walking 9:10, walked at a moderate pace with many stops, and were already at the exit gate by 3:15 PM
Note there is another 2 km walk on a dirt road from the exit to the village of Agios Roumeli. We opted for the minibus and traded the (boring) walk for another half-hour at the beach.
Getting there and back: buy all your tickets (including the ferry) a day ahead at the KTEL station. This will also give you a positive indication that the trail will be open. Finding the bus, ferry and other bus (going back) was very simple.
There is a small shop at the trailhead where you can buy sandwiches and snacks for the trip. Make sure you have food - it is a long day. There is nothing to buy within the canyon. There are some spots to fill up water.
