Villas, Gardens, Wine and Wanda

点评：There is so much to know about this area and Wanda knows it all! Her knowledge and enthusiasm is contagious and makes you want to see more and hear more from Wanda.
This was our second tour with Wanda, after one in Lucca last year. This time my husband and I met Wanda at Villa Torrigiani for a walk through fabulous gardens and the villa proper. Meeting Stefano, the owner, at the entrance was special, particularly hearing the history of the villa and how it came to him.
We stopped at Villa Reale and again had a wonderful walk through the villa and gardens-perhaps the largest villa property we’ve seen. Wanda’s in-depth knowledge of the history and current status is amazing.
We finished with a curvy, beautiful drive to a winery with amazing views and delicious wine, tasted with their olive oil (yum) and an array of meats, cheeses, bruschetta, bread and olives.
It was a 6 hour day but Wanda led
us at a pace that worked for us.
I can’t say enough about how personable and wonderful Wanda is. It truly felt
like connecting with an old friend and one we want to return to see. You can’t go wrong with Wanda!
