点评:We stayed at Dundreggan as part of an organised Rewilding workshop. The staff at Dundreggan are friendly, and enthusiastic in sharing their extensive knowledge. I learned a great deal, and came away with a deeper appreciation of the wildlife and ecology of Scotland, and the challenges Scotland's nature face. I also learned a lot about the significance of past and current Gaelic culture and heritage, particularly how this relates to communities and nature.
The facilities at the centre are excellent, both as a place to learn, and also as a place to eat and relax. The cafe is very good and well worth calling in for, even if you just happen to be passing.
We stayed 3 nights there, the rooms were comfortable, clean, and quiet, and good value. Breakfast is very good. Currently there are no evening meals available if you're not part of a workshop/course, so make plans for your evening meal elsewhere (or bring something). I think there may be plans to offer early evening meals at some stage in future.
The local paths (which include accessible paths) offer a way to get into the wonderful great outdoors easily and safely, and of course there is lots of nature and wildlife to see and appreciate. I count myself very lucky to see at least one, and possibly a pair, of White Tailed Eagles above the glen. Paths are well signed, and there are plenty of information boards.
Finally I'd like to say thank you to all the staff for bringing Rewilding so vividly to life, for sharing their skills and experience so generously, and most of all being so welcoming.
