Great weekend of sailing lessons and fun.

点评：We had the pleasure of taking 2 days of family sailing lessons with Captain Shawn. I’ve owned a 41’ sailboat for eight years and was looking for someone to help my family feel more confident sailing and docking the boat. By the end of the weekend, all my family members said the experience far exceeded their expectations.
Shawn guided us through pre-departure checks like the engine and electronics, docking techniques, sailing fundamentals, boat terminology, navigation around the Bay, and we even got to use the spinnaker.
My daughter started the weekend saying she’d never feel comfortable docking the boat. But after encouragement and coaching from Shawn, she was confidently docking and departing without assistance by the end of the weekend (as well as everyone else in my family!). Without Shawn’s help, I don’t think everyone would have made as quick progress as they did. Now it is hard to pry her away from the helm.
He even took some time to teach me nuances of the boat that were new to me after years of sailing. On top of all of this, he was also really fun to spend a weekend on the Bay with. I can’t recommend him enough!
