点评:We went on a free admission day. I’m glad we didn’t have to pay. The exhibits are not very good. A lot of reading and blurry pictures that don’t get your attention long enough to stay through all the reading. French in the round film area that was off putting. There should have been a choice for English as we were the only ones there. We heard French more than English and I don’t get it. It’s great if you’re French speaking though, I guess. There is way, way, way too much walking. It is dark and dreary for the most part on that path.
There should be guides that actually do more than stand around. Give tours so people don’t just walk by. A real live person telling the history of the struggles and oppression is better than listening to audio and watching shorts. There is a lot of potential here to do things better.
There are a lot of cracks in the concrete walkways. I wonder about the structural integrity of the building.
The building is beautiful and the materials are well done. I like the water and rocks. The elevator up to the top to see the city view is nice too. Didn’t appreciate having to watch for snow and ice hazards on exit but that’s must have been a design oversight.
