点评:In 1969 a new organisation known as the Aquatic Club had ambitious plans for what was once the town cow paddock reserve. They wished to turn it into an artificial lake for aquatic sports. The lake was officially opened on 31st January 1972.
The lake has a BBQ area, lawn areas for people to sit around, a boat ramp and a walking track that takes you in a circuit around its bank. There's a point of interest here near the Aquatic Club pump shed where the water used to be drawn from the Lachlan River for the Steam Trains.
The lake had no water in it even with all of the rain when I was visiting. I asked some lads in the nearby Lions Park about it and they said it wasn't unusual for it to not have water, it was a seasonal thing. :)
What I can say is it's picturesque and there was a couple of people with dogs running around in it that looked happy.
