Rather lacking for Spring visits now

点评：We visit every year for the Tulip Festival and usually spend either a morning or afternoon happily exploring Dunsborough Park. This year it was billed as a Spring opening - 'with some tulips'. Sadly the spring planting was lacking without the tulips. Nothing much showing and we were in and out within 40 mins.
Seems like the tulips have been relied on for spring colour and now they are left with not very much at this time of year. Lots of empty beds. The two renowned designers used must have produced planting plans that allowed for a succession of interest but there is no evidence of that now. The wisteria was lovely though.
Anyway - this is a private garden so what they have or do not have is their prerogative, however if you are opening for the public (who are used to seeing fabulous colour here) - this might need a re-think. Tulips are expensive but maybe some other perenial spring planting would extend the season of interest and be more sustainable.
Just a personal opinion.
Also very sad to see the desparate state of the wonderful glasshouse.
