- **Boats are in poor condition** — the 3+ hour ride under intense sun and humidity is exhausting and uncomfortable.
- **Beware of scams by drivers** —
- My driver took us to a **private boating point**, ignoring repeated instructions to go to the *Dolphin Motor Boat Association* (the only government-approved boating facility).
- When we insisted, he reluctantly agreed but **scammed us again** by stopping at a fuel station and **forcing us to pay** for his vehicle’s fuel — almost the entire amount we had agreed upon for the day trip (₹2,400 fuel on a ₹2,500 trip).
- After dropping us at the boating point, **he abandoned us without informing**, as seen later on CCTV. People there helped us to get back to Puri in an Auto.
- Avoid these drivers (7848806955 - a bespectacled driver Ashok who cheated us, photo attached vehicle # OD 02 CL 7292, 9861525252 - puri based agent), they nicely greet you with Jay Jagannath and then cheat. Book from some agency available in google search, check with hotel as well to compare prices.
