点评：Würzburg Cathedral (Dom St. Kilian) is a important church situated at the end of Domstraße. The church is open from 7am to 5.30pm daily and is free enter. The church is conveniently located near other interesting attractions and is well worth making time to visit while sightseeing around the city.
Historically, it seems there have been church buildings upon these grounds since at least the mid 8th-century. However, the building you see today has gone through numerous rebuilds starting with the 11th century Romanesque church, Gothic additions and Baroque makeovers in later centuries. Heavily damaged during WWII air raids, St. Kilian was redesigned and rebuilt between the 1960s to early 2000s, providing the present church building that you see today.
The Romanesque Revival style facade and its two front towers dominate the skyline as you approach along Domstraße. As you enter you find a nearly 100 metre long centre nave and two side aisles with an interesting mix of traditional, historic and contemporary sculptures, altars, ceiling frescos and stained glass windows. There are important tombs and epitaphs, a nice cloister and interesting things to view with the church. Allow 15-20 minutes minimum to walk through and see everything.
