Excellent tour If you like diamonds and precious stones

点评：This place was recommended to us by Riano at the Blackheath Lodge( which we strongly recommend). And since I’m a big fan of crystals and precious stones, we decided to go and visit this museum. The only negative comment would be that it is harder to find once you reach the location. It is on the second story and it is inside a little store but it is well marked with a big black diamond shape once you find it. A little stand free sign with an arrow would be a great asset to find this location. Once we got there, the tour was free and our tour guide Nadya was excellent and very attentive to details from how diamonds were formed underground ,how they end up at the surface of the Earth to why our wedding rings worn on the left hand, several little details that made this tour very exciting . However, this tour is not for children. It is very informative and would probably be boring for younger children. The tour takes you through the whole process of how diamonds are cut and precious stones are handled to the little details like angles of cutting ,facets and why diamonds are so valuable. She also explained why do some diamonds have certain colours and some not. To complete the tour you end up in their showroom where there are thousands of jewellery items with diamonds in them and different precious stones that you can look at try on and even purchase if you feel like it. But it’s important to mention that there is no hard selling tactics going on. They are very open-minded very friendly very informative, but no sales pressure. I would strongly recommend this if you love precious stones.
