The Acropolis of Rhodes的点评
点评：After visiting the Acropolis in Lindos, I thought it only right to visit the Acropolis of Rhodes just up the road from where we were staying.
I hadn't even realised that there was such a site of huge historical significance in the area and was sad when we arrived seeing how run down and empty it was compared to Lindos. Being in the Capital of the island this amazing place felt completely forgotten and unloved.
We entered from the top of the site and down past the Acropolis. Scaffolding old and rusted, no obvious signs of renovations taking place and overgrown pathways down towards the stadium & Amphitheatre.
The lower part of the site is incredible and such a shame more isn't made more of it. The stadium is in such good condition and could really be made into a proper attraction. Th Amphitheatre was a lovely setting to sit and soak up the history with the cats.
It was lovely and peaceful but I honestly think so much more could be made of it as it has all the history you could ask for.
